Board an air-conditioned comfortable bus. After a 20-minute ride you will arrive at the Zaanse Schans. You can go to one or more of the well known museums.Visit a typical Dutch clog shop and learn how and why these wooden shoes were made. Visit the cheese factory to learn about the making and taste of this typically dutch export product.
Next you will be taken on a bus drive through the Dutch polders, claimed land on water, and typical square designed countryside to the nostalgic fishermen’s village of Volendam. From Volendam you will cross the beautiful artificially created lake the Ijselmeer by ferry to the former island of Marken. As you arrive on this timeless now peninsulla you will experience the Dutch landscape surrounded by water. The Dutch are world famous for their water managing techniques. In the afternoon your chauffeur and guide will drive you back to the initial pick-up point in the centre of Amsterdam.
